Chronic Fatigue, Cortisol & Seriphos
Chronic fatigue can have a wide variety of root causes, including physical, emotional or spiritual. Hypoglycemia or low blood sugar is a common cause, as are high stress levels, lack of exercise, food allergies, systemic yeast infections and low brain serotonin levels.
A common cause of CFS is an adrenal-pituitary disorder where the adrenals pump out cortisol and adrenalin at night when they are supposed to be resting. These "fight or flight" hormones rev you up, making good deep sleep impossible. You then pay a big price in fatigue the next day. This disrupts the feedback sensitivity at the pituitary level. If you suspect this is your problem, there is a lab test that can be administered and a therapy that has helped about 80% of the people that I've consulted over the last 10 years.
I recommend Seriphos™, a special phosphorylated serine that works better and costs less than PS (phosphatidyl serine). Seriphos™ can help optimize the stress response, and repair the damage caused by catabolic stress hormones. Seriphos™ is 4 times stronger than PS and doesn't oxidize because it doesn't contain the heavy oxidizable fatty acids that PS contains. You can make your own PS using fats from your diet and the phopharylated serine from Seriphos™.
